ABOUT US
Creating Self-Sufficient Indigenous Communities
Schiya Construction is an Indigenous-owned construction company based out of Seabird Island, British Columbia. Our mission is to uplift Indigenous communities by creating self-sufficient environments through the construction of schools, playgrounds, longhouses, and parks.
Founded by Mathew Point in response to the housing crisis within his community, we started with just a truck and a vision. Today, our team of 13 Indigenous employees provides judgment-free, culturally sensitive construction services with deep compassion and understanding.
